Proposed Regulations on Hydrocarbons – Reminder to Members of the Order of Geologists
Terrapex always keeps abreast of the latest environmental news. On September 20, the Order of Geologists of Quebec invited members to send their comments regarding the regulations governing hydrocarbons to the Office of the Secretary of the Order. As part of a 45-day review, the proposed regulations were published in the Official Gazette of Quebec and relate to the following:
Proposed Regulations on Hydrocarbons (2016, Chapter 35)

Hydrocarbon exploration, production and storage activities in a water environment

Hydrocarbon exploration, production and storage activities in a terrestrial environment

Licenses for hydrocarbon exploration, production and storage
-
Authorization for construction or use of a pipeline
Once the members’ comments have been received, the Order will present them to the Government. Please send you comments to the Office of the Secretary of the Order as soon as possible. Any offers of help in preparing the Order’s review will be welcome.
